A Prestigious Address: Karlín
If you have to spend eight hours in an office, shouldn’t it be at Riverside Karlín? The area that used to be the Rohan Island is easily accessible thanks to its singular location. It’s a three-minute walk from the office to the Karlínské náměstí tram stop and then a one-minute ride to B line metro stop Křižíkova, or two minutes to the transport hub Florenc where the B and C metro lines intersect at a major international and domestic bus terminal.
You can also arrive by the bike path, use the new footbridge, or try shared forms of mobility. E-bikes and e-scooters are always available close by.
Do you love math and geography? If so, here’s a little nugget for you: The Nile is more than 6,600 km long, which is about the distance by car from Riverside Karlín to the confluence of the White Nile and Blue Nile in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, where the real Nile begins! Pretty neat, eh? You can take this trip any time you want because there will always be space for your car in our underground garage. There are 218 spaces in total.

While most air conditioning systems replace the air in an office once per hour, Nile House’s hi-tech system exchanges what you breathe as much as four times as often, creating a much healthier atmosphere for everyone inside. That means the only contact you’ll have with so-called sick buildings syndrome is reading about it.
However, fresh air is the best to help you clear your head. Go for a run on the path next to the campus or play some frisbee or pétanque on Štvanice Island. Those of you who avoid strenuous activities after work can rest in the shade of a tree while reading or take a relaxing walk on the riverbank.

Nile House is a great example of this phenomenon, with an exterior that combines natural stone cladding with glass elements. Its architects can be especially proud of the atrium dominated by a spiral staircase comprised of bent steel plates that bring an exceptional dynamic element into the space.
Nile House also harmonizes with the other buildings on the campus. Maybe you recognize the style. Just like Danube House, Nile House’s appearance was shaped by London-based architects Kohn Pedersen Fox.
Nile House was the first building in the Czech Republic to receive the highest level of certification: LEED Platinum. It was even ranked fourth worldwide in the year it was completed. This certification places extensive emphasis on saving costs and energy, and requires fulfilling strict demands for energy efficiency. The building also has to be positively received by its tenants who rate their satisfaction in terms of thermal comfort in all seasons, the level of lighting, audible comfort, air quality, and cleaning and maintenance services.
